Este projecto, realizado em colaboração com o GAT da Câmara Municipal da Boa Vista, faz parte das ações resultantes do Pré-Plano de Salvaguarda de Sal Rei, apresentado em julho de 2022 pela CMBV, sendo uma das obras-piloto desse Plano Detalhado. A intervenção foca-se nas ruas Bom Sossego, Seixal e nas áreas posteriores à Igreja de Santa Isabel, abrangendo uma área de intervenção de 8.050 m², que impacta um total de 80 lotes edificados.
A necessidade de melhorar concretamente o estado da cidade de Sal Rei e contribuir para uma melhoria da sua qualidade passa por abordar a reabilitação do centro numa perspetiva de valorização do património histórico, cultural e identitário.
Esta proposta contribui para uma nova organização espacial do centro, com foco na acessibilidade, inclusão e revitalização social e económica, em articulação com as estratégias municipais de habitação. A atuação progressiva em áreas da cidade que sofreram degradação na última década procura reverter uma situação desconfortável tanto para residentes como para visitantes.
O objetivo principal deste trabalho é a organização, reabilitação e melhoria das ruas, fachadas e laterais da área de intervenção. Para além deste objetivo direto, o projecto contribui para:
Sensibilizar os cidadãos para a preservação dos valores arquitectónicos, urbanísticos e identitários da Boa Vista.
Promover uma cultura de conservação, manutenção e melhoria das habitações.
Melhorar a qualidade de vida da população de Sal Rei e aumentar o atractivo turístico através do embelezamento de fachadas e praças públicas.
Divulgar a importância do Plano de Salvaguarda de Sal Rei, que visa regular e delimitar as intervenções urbanísticas no centro, com o objetivo de melhorar essa área e alcançar uma recuperação significativa.
Iniciar uma ação piloto que sirva como exemplo para obter financiamento e expandir a intervenção total na área abrangida pelo Plano Detalhado.

This project, carried out in collaboration with the GAT of the town hall of Boa Vista, is part of the actions resulting from the Pre-Plan for the Safeguarding of Sal Rei, presented in July 2022 by CMBV, and is one of the pilot projects of this Detailed Plan. The intervention focuses on the Bom Sossego and Seixal streets and the areas behind the Church of Santa Isabel, covering an intervention area of 8,050 m², impacting a total of 80 built lots.
The need to concretely improve the condition of the city of Sal Rei and contribute to its quality enhancement involves approaching the rehabilitation of the center from a perspective of valuing its historical, cultural, and identity heritage.
This proposal contributes to a new spatial organization of the center, focusing on accessibility, inclusion, and social and economic revitalization, in alignment with municipal housing strategies. The progressive work in areas of the city that have suffered degradation over the last decade seeks to reverse an uncomfortable situation for both residents and visitors.
The main objective of this work is the organization, rehabilitation, and improvement of the streets, facades, and sides of the intervention area. In addition to this direct goal, the project contributes to:
Raising awareness among citizens about the preservation of the architectural, urban, and identity values of Boa Vista.
Promoting a culture of conservation, maintenance, and improvement of homes.
Improving the quality of life for the population of Sal Rei and increasing tourist appeal through the beautification of facades and public squares.
Raising awareness about the importance of the Sal Rei Safeguarding Plan, which aims to regulate and delimit urban interventions in the center, with the goal of improving the area and achieving significant recovery.
Initiating a pilot action that will serve as an example to secure funding and expand the total intervention in the area covered by the Detailed Plan.
